On 16 May 2023, Gold Mint Product Co., Ltd., the manufacturer and distributor of Poy-sian Brand inhaler, provided 1,200 “Poy-sian umbrellas” and 40 “Poy-sian Benches” in service of tourists who visit Ayutthaya Historical Park to Mr Phattharaphong Kao-ngoen, Head of the Historical Park. There are available on 4 favourite spots – Wat Phra Sri Sanphet Temple, Wat Mahathat Temple, Wat Ratchaburana Temple and Wat Chai Watthanaram Temple.
“Owing to one of the company’s policies – to take precedence over the preservation and development of our national historical and cultural tourist attractions, the pride of all Thai people and a prominent cultural capital, it has already been considered if umbrellas and benches are available in service on the sites, it will be more convenient for visitors as well as provide more enjoyment and relaxation while travelling. Additionally, following the company’s first privilege to keep ancient-mode landscapes and atmosphere of the historical attractions, the umbrella stands and benches are designed in harmony with the whole surroundings.” Mr Nutthapong Larbboonsarp (PhD), the company’s executive committee, said.
As for the above idea, the specific pattern design decorated on “Poysian Benches” is inspired by an “unseen artistic motif” of each particular spot:
Wat Phra Sri Sanphet Temple – the air tunnels on the northeastern wall of the principal monastic sanctuary;
Wat Maha That Temple – the balustrades decorated on the wall of the principal monastic sanctuary;
Wat Ratchaburana Temple – the golden replica of a bejewelled elephant discovered from the temple crypt, which is now displayed in Chao Sam Phraya National Museum.
Wat Chai Watthanaram Temple – the mural paintings in the minor stupa in the East of the temple.
