The depicted icon, the rightward-spiral conch, is inspired by the legend of Ayutthaya Founding – King Rama Thibodi I (King U-Thong) the founder and the first monarch of this ancient kingdom found an auspicious conch shell in Nong Sano Swamp, namely Bueng Phra Ram Pond at present. The conch radiants, likewise, reminisce about the auspicious moment when Ayutthaya Kingdom was officially founded – six minutes to ten ante meridiem (9.54 a.m.) on the 6 day of the waxing moon of the 5 lunar month in 1350 AD, which mentioned in Luang Prasert Aksoranit’s Chronicle.
