The depicted icon is inspired by King Ramkhamhaeng the Great’s Stone Inscription, the so-called Inscription No.1, which was built due to the royal command of the king in 1283 and is known as the concrete initiation of an ancient Thai alphabet named Lai Sue Thai. The genuine stone inscription, which has been registered in the list of UNESCO Memory of the World in 2003, is displayed in Bangkok National Museum.
